Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Sales of 6x2 26-tonners with flatbed bodies have suddenly risen at Scania dealership West Pennine, says Tony Wolstenholme: "As a consequence we've been chopping six-wheelers with curtainsider bodies down to flats to meet the demand. We've had one customer who wanted one to transport turf and another who, perhaps surprisingly, bought one to carry fruit."

But while West Pennine may be demolishing curtainsider bodies on 6x2 chassis, elsewhere in the country Scania dealership RoTruck can get enough of them, says used truck sales specialist Paul Prewett: "We've had 6x2 rear-Ilft curtainsiders in the yard for literally a matter of minutes before they've sold. We haven't even bothered to advertise them."

There's no sign that buyers are opting for 26-tanners in place of 18-tonners, says Wolstenholme: "I'm not really in an 18-tonne area, yet I still manage to sell quite a few, mainly to customers elsewhere in the country"
