Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Barnstaple-based general haulage and bulk tipping company Evans Transport has become one of Devon's largest operators with the acquisition of Exeter-based Frank Tucker Commercials.

The takeover, for an undisclosed sum, increases Evans' workforce to 150 with 80 staff in Barnstaple and 70 in Exeter. It includes Frank Tucker's ERF parts and servicing garage.

According to Evans transport manager Nigel Evans there are no immediate plans to make staff redundant: "We haven't come in to run the business down," he says.

For the foreseeable future both companies will trade under separate names.

Members of the Tucker family sold their business, which specialises in bulk transportation, tippers and general haulage, because they were getting older and younger relatives did not want to take over the business.
