ROAD HAULAGE

Association (RHA) chairman Andy Boyle called on VOSA to "get your act together" during his speech at the RHA's annual lunch last week.

"VOSA has embarked on a testing station closure 'programme] with nothing more than a vision of how they wish to proceed to replace them," he says. "Please VOSA. get your act together and start to behave like a business and treat us like customers "Customer-facing VOSA staff [have been] praised for their efforts to help those of us who are, after all, customers," Boyle adds. "The hierarchy would do well to follow the lead of their minions."

Boyle, in his role as MD of ABE (Ledury), has signed our No 10 petition, which now has 354 signatures

Among the signatories is Arm Cryer, the Labour MP for Keighley, whose involvement delayed the closure of the Steeton VOSA test station until March 2010. Cryer aims to table her Early Day Motion on the issue of VOSA closures this week. Also on the petition is Palletline MD Kevin Bucha

nan and City Link MD Stuart Godman.
