THE BOARD of the National Freight Consortium has made John Copland a director.
John Copland is managing director of the NFC's Regional Group, covering companies in Scotland and Northern Ireland. He joined the Scottish Division of British Road Services (an NEC subsidiary) in 1951 and has held a number of senior posts in Scotland, culminating in his appointment as managing director of the Scottish Freight Company, a post which he still retains with his regional responsibility.
