Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IT was confirmed last week by Krupp of I Essen that negotiations were going on with the American White Motor Co. Ltd., covering co-operation on the production of commercial vehicles. Krupp stated that it would like to add " mediumtonnage " vehicles as produced by White to its production range.

The possibility of some form of association between Krupp and White was forecast in The Commercial Motor of June 18 in a report of a Press conference given by White in Geneva. The White office in Paris admitted last Friday that discussions with Krupp were taking place, but said that the company was currently engaged in discussions with a number of Continental vehicle makers with them as well as Krupp.

Study teams are carrying out investigations at Krupp and , other vehicle makers, but at this stage no negotiations are taking place which would suggest that there will be an early agreement with any European company.
