Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

during August, the value of that month's exports exceeded for the fourth time this year the target of £3,200,000 set by the Government as the monthly average for the end of 1948, says the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

The August total of 6,269 goods and passenger vehicles, industrial trucks, road haulage tractors and trailers sent overseas compared with the July figure of 8,426. The difference in value was not nearly so marked, being £3,432,797 in August and £3445,923 in July. The biggest drop was in shipments of delivery vans and utilities, which would explain the small decline in total value.

From January to August, 53,135 new commercial vehicles, valued at £24,838,664, were exported, bringing the monthly averages for the year to 6,642 and £3,104,833 respectively.

Used commercial vehicles to the number of 3,799 (£1,581,989), agricultural tractors and parts worth £11,946,729, and parts and accessories valued at £17,024,132 were also exported in the first eight months of the year.
