Words: Laurie Dealer OUR USED TRUCK of the week is the 2008-registered Mercedes-Benz Actros 2546LS seen above. Listed by Intercounty Truck & Van, it’s a Euro-5 environmentally enhanced vehicle on an ‘08 plate with a reduced pollution certificate, a MegaSpace cab, sliding fifth wheel and 497,000km on the clock.

At the moment in the used truck market, the Euro-5 tractor unit is at a crossroads. Stagnation in the supply chain is driven by operators who supply the used sector: they are extending lease agreements, sweating hire purchase assets longer, or going down the rental route.
