Mixed Driving Rules This cal ers for the driver who works firt under one of the rules above an then under another rule in an period of 7 consecutive days.

For reasons which will will be come apparent later, it is conve fluent at this stage to divid, drivers into two categories Category 1 — those driving al rigid vehicles irrespective o their gross weight or articulate, vehicles or drawbar traile outfits of less than 20 tonne: gross weight; Category 2 — ar ticulated vehicles and drawba trailer combinations which an over 20 tonnes gross weight.
