kDCLIFFE Engineering Ltd, of Coleorton, Leicestershire, has developed a low-cost demountable body system for commercial vehicles up to 16.25 tonnes (16 tons) gvw.

The battery-powered electrohydraulic power pack option is available to reduce the risk of pollution from vehicles operating within a confined space.

A specially designed steel bed frame is also available to indi vidual requirements.

The bedframe unit is lifted hydraulically clear of the chassis by the four rams, after which four legs are mechanically lowered and locked into place. The hydraulic rams have a stroke of about 444mm (17.5in), the front and rear pairs may be independently controlled for use on uneven ground.
