A range of Porto-Power body repair sets has been lately introduced by Applied Power (UK) Ltd. Air-operated hydraulic pumps are available to operate the hydraulic rams of the cornpany's body-frame repair equipment. The automatic P-707 pump can be controlled by a toe. knee, elbow or heel. which en ables the operator to use both hands for the job.

A combination that includes a P-707 pump, 6ft of hose and a Z-1604 Spee-D-Reducer is known as the 5-202 pump set and can be used to power a Porto-Power 1-ton, 2-ton, 4-ton or 10-ton ram and will extend an RC-250 20-ton ram to approximately 90 per cent of its full travel. The set provides for switching from one ram to another in a few seconds and the rams hold the load even if the air supply is cut off. It weighs 121b.

A low-cost manually operated pump, the P-400, is particularly suited for sheet-metal repairs and can be used for powering a variety of rams with capacities of 1 ton to 4 tons. A heavier manually operated ram, the P-76 can be used to power rams with capacities up to 20 tons. Basic sets of rams and attachments provide for pushing, spreading, clamping, pulling and stretching.

The range of units also includes additional manually operated pumps, a two-speed electro-hydraulic pump and a wide variety of auxiliary equipment. Made by: Applied Power (UK) Ltd., Greycaine Road, Watford, Herts.
