• On the eve of the Public Works Exhibition • at which the company is displaying several models, Fodens Ltd, announced that in the month following the Commercial Motor Show it had received orders worth over El m. While many of the orders are for well-known UK companies, Fodens reports that overseas orders for the coming year are up by 60 per cent on the previous equivalent period. Exports will now amount to about a quarter of total production.

The company's South African subsidiary has doubled its output since 1965 and is now one of the largest of its type in that country.
