Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• "A guarantee that your BMC commercial vehicle will pass the MoT test" is the bold claim made i by the British Leyland BMC Freightline c.v. service scheme which was announced on Wednesday, and which will be introduced shortly by selected BMC distributors.

These will undertake to service any BMC commercial vehicle up to pre-test standard and will guarantee that it will pass. If it does not they will carry out, free of charge, the necessary rectification and pay the cost of re-submission for test.

Furthermore, should there be a test failure, the distributor will pay the operator compensation of up to £50 per week up to four weeks If the vehicle is being kept off the road. The only stipulation is that vehicles must be sent for test within ,72 hours of the service at a station within 100 miles.

The scheme is coupled with a revision of BMC's servicing procedure in which service intervals have been extended to 6,000 miles or three months.
