The L.N.E.R. Places Big Contracts.

The London and North-Eastern Railway Co. has recently placed an order with Cranes (Dereham), Ltd., of Dereharn, for 118 trailers of different types, ranging in capacity from 3 tons to 10 tons. The largest order is for 40 3-ton low-loading, trailers. The company has also placed an order with Scarnmeil Lorries, Ltd., 5254, High Holborn, London, W.C.1, for 30 mechanical-horse tractors, 96 sets of 3-ton trailer-coupling gear and 22 sets of 6-ton trailer-coupling gear, as well as for six 6-ton trailers, certain of them with fiat platform bodies.

Another order given out by the company is for 28 low-loading fixed-sided trailers, which are to be supplied by R. A. Dyson and Co., Ltd., 76-80, lrafton Street, Liverpool.
