Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Shell has launched a range of heavy-duty diesel engine oils under the brand name of Rimula, replacing the Myrina and previous Rimula brands. The new products have been developed to exceed the new ACEA lubrication specifications while lubricating engines designed to meet the Euro-2 emission regulations and lower fuel sulphur level requirements.

Top of the range is Rimula Ultra, believed by Shell to be the only 5W-30 oil to be approved to the Mercedes-Benz 228.5 specification. It is a synthetic lubricant which is capa

ble of withstanding long oil drain intervals and claims a 3% saving in fuel consumption.

Rimula Super exceeds the requirements of the US specifications of Mack EO-L and API CG-4, as well as the European ACEA E3-96 and 1V113228.3, and is suitable for mixed fleets.

Rimula X is designed for most heavy-duty applications and it meets ACEA E2-96 as well as API CF-4. Rimula D is a 15W-40 which meets API CD and is the cost-effective option for the normal drain oil intervals for older vehicles.
