Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LORRY traffic through Dover in March was up by nearly a quarter on the same month last year, and other freight traffic was up by even more.

There was a 23.11 per cent increase in the number of commercial road haulage units, from 43,726 to 53,833. One articulated tractive unit and semi-trailer counts as two units.

Other ro-ro freight increased by 30.41 per cent from 9,880 to 12,885, and the tonnage of cargo handled at Dover rose by 46.68 per cent from 564,413 to 827,811.

MORE ships have been chartered by Townsend Thoresen to cover for the requisitioning of two more of its freight ferries to join the Falklands Islands task force.

Two vessels used on the Felixstowe-Rotterdam crossing have been requisitioned, but the company is chartering two Steno Line ferries, the Hellas and the Syria, each of which is capable of carrying 180 12m-trailers and 210 drivers.
