The Wincanton Group has appointed DICK PULMAN chairman. He is also a director of the parent company, Unigate, and lives in Wincanton. . DAVID YEOMANS takes over Mr Pulman's previous position of managing director. He will assume responsibility for the trading operations of the Wincanton Group.
ARTHUR BECKENHAM has been chosen as a senior visiting fellow in the Department of Trans
port Technology at -the University of Technology at Loughborough. He is presently director of education and training at the Chartered Institute of Transport and is the first senior official of the CIT to be honoured in this way.
Eastern British Road Services has made GEORGE HAZLE company business development manager. He joined the company in 1980 as membership services manager and was particularly concerned with Datafreight. In his new role he will be involved with the re-organisation and sharpening of the cornpany's sales effort.
TONY MORGAN takes over as branch manager of National Carriers' Reading base. Before joining NC, he worked at Freightliners as field sales manager.
Thomas Meadows has strengthened its position in the south of England by creating a new south-east sales region. JOHN BURROWS will head the region as sales manager. He joined the company's Nottingham branch as a salesman, where he spent 12 years on the road before becoming a marketing developer. ALAN KREPPEL has been appointed traffic manager of South Wales Transport in succession to GRAEME VARLEY who moves to Bristol Omnibus.
City of Oxford Motor Services has taken on RICHARD HALL as chief engineer. He was formerly engineer with South Wales Transport. Mr Hall started his career in engineering with L. F. Dove and joined Hants and Dorset in 1974 as a technical assistant.
Aeroquip (UK) has made two changes to its team. RAY DAVIS becomes general sales and marketing manager of the Seals Division. He comes to the company from Euroseal. NORMA KNAPE takes over as marketing director.
