Provincial Parking Meters: The first move has been made by the Minister of Transport towards the introduction of parking meters in cities and towns outside London. Ten county boroughs—Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Salford, Sheffield, and Southendon-Sea—may now apply for the designation of parking places.
