The past couple of CV Shows have been marked by an explosion of new designs from the UK's body and trailer manufacturers, and this year should be no different. As usual, Don-Bur will have a raft of innovations, from the ratchet deck (designed for curtainsiders and operated by a fork-lift) to one-piece rear LED lot clusters (pictured). But at centre stage will be the Wingliner—a full-length gull-wing body with hydraulically operated side doors based on an established Continental design.

General Trailers Fruehauf will show the extendible Drop And Go flatbed trailer for brick and block transport, which can retract from its maximum length of 12.2m to just 91m for

urban work. Other new models will include a 47m3 smoothsided alloy tipper and the Hydrainer bitumen tanker.

Dennison's latest sliding-bogie skeletal trailer has been refined to reduce weight further; the firm will also show a sloping-frame tank skeletal, and one of its latest curtainsiders.

Dutch trailer manufacturer Van Hool will be making its first appearance at the CV Show, as will Turkish-based Tirsan Trailers, indicating its significance on the European stage. Closer to home, Crossland Tankers of Northern Ireland will be exhibiting for the first time.

Cartwright's high-volume curtain-sided drawbar for Eddie Stobart, Dee Warley's new Panther-Lite bulker, Schmitz Cargobull's new box van and curtainsider, Whale's latest Kilowhale Jetvac, and many others, are set to make his a bumper show.
