EA truck driver was kidnapped and driven around blindfolded in a van while Dm-worth of electrical goods were being stolen from his trailer.

His ordeal lasted for several hours, beginning when he stopped in the lorry park at Barn Hill Services on the northbound side of the M40 near Leamington.

When he returned from his break he was attacked by two men and bundled into the back of a white Ford Transit. He was later released unhurt but shocked in Halesowen, where he raised the alarm.

His truck, a white Leyland Daf with a white box trailer, was loaded with camcorders, DVD players and other electrical equipment.

It was found the following morning dumped in Smethwick Leamington Spa police are appealing for witnesses to the kidnap, which took place at 16:30hrs on Thursday 8 March. One of the kidnappers was white, about 30 years old, 6ft 9in tall, dirty looking, with a beard and dreadlocked light brown hair. The other was black, 6ft tall and dressed in a smart darkjacket and trousers.
