GEOFFREY WEBB, manager of Hampshire Bus, is to take early retirement on October 31 after 44 years' service to the bus industry.
Webb, who will then be 62, spent the first 19 years of his career with Red and White Services, IlOW part of National Welsh. He joined the company's traffic department in 1942 and later held local appointments in Hereford and Monmouth, before a seven-year spell as internal auditor. In 1960 he became assistant to Red and White's general manager.
