A Ailsa Trucks Ltd tell us that when the

plans for acquiring the site at Irvine, Lanarkshire, were made, there was never any intention of undertaking large-scale assembly, but the intention to produce six and eight-wheeled vehicles at Irvine remains unchanged. These will be adapted from Volvo chassis imported for the purpose.

The company says its Irvine plans also still include double-deck buses.
