LATEST additions announced by Ford of Cologne to their range of Taunus Transit light commercial vehicles are a series of I-ton-capacity models. These are to be known as the Taunus Transit 830 series, and are identical in body dimensions and appearance with the higher-payload versions (there are 1and L25-ton models) but will be very much cheaper particularly in the case of bus and van types.

All three models in the range are now available in two new forms, a Panorama bus and a low-frame chassis-cab: The bus has a glazed vent and windows in the

roof, two-tone paintwork and de luxe fittings, It is available as an 11-seater in the 1-ton, as an 11-14-seater in the li-ton and as an 8-seater in the new Taunus Transit 830 series. The lowframe chassis-cab gives a loading-floor height of only 2 ft. 3.9 in., and is said to be particularly suitable for special bodies.

The range of models now offered in each series comprises standard and de luxe vans, the Panorama bus, steeland timber-bodied pick-ups, ambulance and normal and low-frame chassis-cab. All models now have a heater as standard.
