Although he has resigned his managing directorship of Humber, Ltd., he will continue as a director of that company. MR. R. B. COLE has been appointed director and general manager of Humber, Ltd„ and has resigned his position as managing director of Sunbeam-Talbdt, Ltd., Whilst MR. E. W. YOUNG, Who IOT several years has acted as general manager of the Rootes shadow factories in Coventry, becomee director and general ,manager of Sunbeam-Talbot, Ltd., London.

MR. D. A. SHEPARD, whose portrait appears on this page, has been elected chairman of the Board of the AngloAmerican Oil Co„ Ltd., subsidiary of the Standard Oil Co., of New Jersey. He succeeds Mr. 1.?.. E. Soubry, who has resigned because of his new duties in charge of marketing outside the United States for the Standard Oil concern. During 1942-43, Mr. Shepard was Petroleum Attaché for the United States at the U.S. Embassy in London, and subsequently was appointed representative of the Standard Oil Co. in the United Kingdom. MR. R. H. PORTERS has also joined the Board of the AngloAmerican concern, as has Me. W. E. Jezextes.
