Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Volkswagen is offering two new engines in its range of IT vans with extended warranties across the board.

A varlable-geometry turbocharger is used in the bigger of the two new units, helping to develop 10Thp (80kW) at 3,500rpm with 280Nm (206Ibft) of torque at 1,900-2,500rpm. An 88hp (66kW) engine is also available developing 220Nm (162Nm) at 1,1300-2,500rpm.

An LT 28 short-wheelbase van with the 88hp unit costs 215,770; a 107hp engine raises the price to £16,471.

Bath engines are available in 2.8, 3.5 and 4.6 CAM LTs with the usual range of body styles and conversions.

Until the end of 1999 all Lis will be offered with three years or 100,000 miles' free servicing and three years' roadside assistance.

Warranties have also been extended on the Caddy Van, Kombi and Pickup and on Transporters and Caravelles with second and thirdyear driveline cover for three years or 100,000 miles and three years' roadside assistance.
