Ken Beresford, of Beresford Transport Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, has retired as chairman of the Transport Association and has been succeeded by F. Jolly, of the Ackworth Transport Co. Ltd., Ackworth, Yorks. The new vice-chairmen of the Association are David ,McVeigh, of McVeigh Transport Ltd., Grimsby, and George Ostroumoff, of Doltons Transport Ltd., Redditch.

McInnes, and Jeffrey Greenhalgh, recently appointed export sales manager of Atkinson Vehicles Ltd.. Preston, is now on a three-month visit to the territory of Mr. McInnes, both gaining further knowledge of peculiar Australian conditions.

L. Tinckham has been appointed technical sales representative of Percy Lane Ltd., Tam worth, Staffs. He was previously with W. Gilmour Smith Ltd„ Auster Ltd., BET Federation Ltd. and Park Royal Vehicles. A. B. Fuller has resigned as managing director of Taskers of Andover (1932) Ltd. and is succeeded by his son Leonard. Mr. A. B. Fuller was appointed assistant managing director of Taskers of Andover Ltd. in 1927 and became managing director in 1932 on the re-formation of the company. He was appointed chairman in 1942 and will remain in that capacity and as adviser to the board.

J. D. Robertshaw has joined the board and become chairman of Bain and Hodge Ltd., general haulage contractors and wharfingers.

K. E. Holt, chief cashier of the Manchester Corporation transport department, has been awarded one of the first Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowships, which are awarded annually to men and women to work and study for a time in another part of the Commonwealth or the USA. He was one of 3,303 applicants from whom 66 have been chosen to be Churchill Fellows of 1966.

Peter Ware. currently director of engineering of the Rootes Group passenger car division, has been appointed manager, product development. in which capacity he will be responsible for the company's expanding activity in a wide range of engineering products.

Pressed Steel Fisher Ltd. has announced the following appointments: J. R. Stanfield, a main board director, becomes general manager of the Midlands division and will be responsible for the Castle Bromwich and Ward End factories. W. H. Bicknell becomes a main board director and, as general manager of the Swindon division, will be responsible for the Swindon and Llanelli factories. S. A. J. Frampton is appointed a main board director and becomes general manager of the Cowley division. He will be responsible for the Cowley and Coventry factories. F. McMullen is made a local board director and, as financial director, will be responsible to J. L. Litt-yens, deputy managing director.

I. Thomsen has been appointed managing director and chief executive officer of The Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Great Britain) Ltd.
