Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN RUNNING a fleet of vehicles it is important to remove all potential causes of 'involuntary stoppage on the road, so far as possible. Choked jets are quite a prolific source of trouble, particularly when dirty fuel is being used and the filter is not efficient.

We have recently tested a new filter, which very effectively eradicates both dirt and moisture, whilst allowing the fuel to pass perfectly freely. Known as the Booster, this filter consists of a conical aluminium casting, which contains five circular gauzes and a disc of chamois leather. I The gauzes are graduated both as regards diameter and fineness of mesh, the smallest and coarsest gauze being placed next to the inlet end of the filter. The last and finest gauze comes between the leather and theoutlet, so that fibres fromthe

• leather cannot be drawn through to the carburetter. The casing is mounted -in an inclined

position and embodies a drain plug at the bottom for cleaning purposes. A circular cover plate is provided, fitted with a short spring, which holds -the assembly of gauzes in position.

The casing is cast in one piece with three bosses, any one of which can be drilled and screwed for the petrel pipe connection. Consequently, the filter can conveniently be fitted to almost any type of engine.

The filter is marketed at 37s, fid. by Figg and Co., 181, Queen Victoria Street, London, E.C.4.
