Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

limited —100 units for 2009 is an ambitious target, and barring the few over-indulgent owner-drivers, the majority of sales are likely to be taken up by STGO operators.

However, the real sales potential for FH16, not least at 700hp: is in those European and world markets that have higher truck maximum weights.

This means Volvo's home turf of Scandinavia (for 60tonne+ timber operations) as well as countries such as Holland, which allows trucks up to 50 tonnes and where there is a more open-minded attitude to longer heavier vehicles (LHVs). Other obvious world markets include Australia with 100-Ionne+ triple-roadtrain operations.

Despite the smaller sales potential than, say, its 13-litre FH range (which tops at 52011p): Volvo insists its FH16 offers genuine environmental benefits at higher gross weights via the reduction in fuel and emissions per tonne carried. It says that two FH 16s operating at 60-tonnes in the 25.25m-long LHV/European Modular System could replace three conventional artcs running at 40/44tonnes.
