Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEYLAND TRUCKS has called on the Government to give the UK's truck market the same kind of financial support it has given the banks.

The manufacturer axed more than 300 jobs last month, and managing director Jim Summer has asked Chancellor Alistair Darling (right) to introduce measures allowing customers to defer paying corporation tax for a year and financial support that would allow the industry to provide credit more easily.

Summer insists he is not asking for handouts, but a liquidity scheme that would enable truck finance companies to compete with highstreet banks.
