Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Engine hose compression and thermal dimensional changes can result in hose clamps losing their tension, allowing coolant to leak. To tackle this Tridon has introduced the Thermal Flex clamp. This is a spring-loaded, worm-drive device made from stainless steel which is said to provide permanent joint sealing under temperature conditions from 4501 to -40'F. These clamps are available only from Tridon's UK distributor, Fister, and can be ordered in 13 sizes from an effective diameter of 25/45mm to 172/194mm.
