MORE THAN 9,700 London bus drivers have won awards for their safe driving. Drivers Ken Dudley-Ward and William "Chalky" White of Stockwell garage, John Hosier of Croydon garage, Walter Peckham of Plumstead, Albert Remmers of Uxbridge and Vic Pagdin of Stamford Brook all received top awards for 35 years' safe driving.
