• A new series of holidays designed especially for retired people is now being marketed by Wallace Arnold Tours Ltd. The company has catered for the needs of older holiday-makers for 15 years, but its 1971 programme is the result of months of analysis of past programmes and market research into the present tastes of "older clients", to decide what is needed.
The answer has been "more scope, more sophistication, more sightseeing, more facilities for easy payment and a brighter brochure". Consequently, Wallace Arnold's 1971 holidays for retired people are described in a bright new brochure entitled "Dream holidays for the older holidaymaker" which is enlarged in size, well spaced and easy to read.
More two-centre holidays have been introduced, and five new Scottish holidays with departures from Croydon and London have been added to the programme. One of the latter is a 10-day tour and the remainder are seven-day tours.
