QN Wednesday, Mr. G. A. Kozloff, director of engineering at the Kew factory of Chrysler Motors Ltd. and Dodge Bros. (Britain) Ltd., read a paper on "Changing Trends in British Commercial Vehicles" to the American Society of Automotive Engineers at the International Automotive Engineering Congress in Detroit, U.S.A.

Mr. Kozloff analysed post-war trends in chassis, engine and cab design and discussed the influence of both U.K. and export market requirements and of the British C. and U. Regulations. He emphasized that the requirement for higher tonnage vehicles, coupled with the availability of powerful, high-speed V diesel engines, has led to a period of major change in the industry. A competitive commercial vehicle industry would. he said, lead to a greater degree of standardization to meet both home and overseas requirements.
