IT WAS INTERESTING to read the views expressed in your feature on AdBlue (CM 25 January).

Since mid-2006, Volvo Truck and Bus dealers have been preparing to stock AdBlue from a reputable source for sale at a competitive price. As a consequence of this policy,AdBlue availability from Volvo Truck and Bus dealers has been growing in line with Euro-4 and 5-engined vehicles coming into use. We are pleased to be able to confirm that: • All Volvo dealers in the UK and Ireland currently have AdBlue available.

• Key Volvo dealer points hold both bulk supplies and 10-litre packs.

• The recommended retail prices are 58p/lit for the 10-litre packs and from 33p/lit for bulk (ex-VAT and effective from 14 January 2007).

• Volvo dealers can cater for top-ups prior to new vehicle deliveries and for norrnal in-service routines. • Many of our customers have found it most effec tive to have their own bulk supplies and a number of IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) have already been supplied through Volvo dealers. Volvo is fully committed to supporting its SCR technology in operation.
