• Renault will begin a "tenacious" fightback in the British truck market, says chairman Shemaya Levy. He is confident that the introduction of the Midliner will help the company reach its target of a 14% market share in Europe by 1993.
Speaking at last week's Amsterdam show, Levy blamed the poor performance of Renault's US Mack subsidiary on a "poorly managed" model replacement programme, but committed the company to at least 6% of the US truck market.
