Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bibby Distribution Services has put its road-rail depot acquisition programme on ice until Railfreight reveals its roadrail plans.

When Bibby opened its Milton Keynes road-rail distribution complex at Wolverton almost two years ago, it announced plans for a further three. However, marketing manager Geoffrey Prysor-Jones says the company now wants to harmonise its efforts in line with Railfreight, British Rail and the Channel Tunnel plans. Until these are clear the company is loathe to build further depots.

Business at the Wolverton depot is proceeding strongly says Prysor-Jones, with contracts from major importers like the Volkswagen Audi Group. New business is also coming from Bibby's membership of the Stockeurop freight system.

Bibby Distribution is currently testing a number of multimodal road-rail systems, including Trailertrain and Tiphook's Piggyback trailer, but it will not commit itself until a European standard emerges.

1:1 Bibby Distribution Services has won a contract with Kelloggs for the storage and distribution of cereal products. Three trucks with Hydraroll trailers are double-shifted on the contract.
