Thornycroft to Produce Three-wheeler THE manufacture of the Motocart, a

small industrial/agricultural truck is to be carried out at the Basingstoke factory of Transport Equipment (Thorny' croft) Ltd. for Transport Material Supplies (London) Ltd.

The Motocart is a light three-wheeler with a load capacity of 30 cwt. designed for light transport in factories, warehouses, docks, mines •and farms. The vehicle is of simple, sturdy design with a large single front wheel, which both drives and steers. The engine and gearbox are mounted above the wheel and an unusual feature of the unit is the design of brake and clutch control which enables the driver to start or stop the vehicle while walking beside it.
