Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DRIVERS WORKING on a contract for retailer Wilkinson have voted for strike action, with 92% in favour from a ballot declared earlier this week.

The result affects more than 300 URTU (United Road Transport Union) members employed by the Canute Group at its Worksop, Notts, and Magor, South Wales depots.

The dispute has arisen in reaction to an offer of 2% after a pay freeze last year. The company and the union were due to meet yesterday, before CM went to press, when URTU expected Canute to make a fresh offer.

“We will put the new offer to members at a meeting this Sunday,” says URTU national oficer Mel Thornton.
