Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Hauliers have until next month to lodge a complaint against the closure of a much•needed truck park in Cambridgeshire.

If a local residents' campaign succeeds in closing the City Road site near March town centre, truck drivers would have to use a site 32km (20 miles) away in St Ives.

Fenland District Council is inviting hauliers to make representations by January—so far the police have opposed the closure. But residents are adamant that trucks should avoid the town completely now that a bypass has been built. They claim the 21-place lorry park encourages trucks into the town.

CI Those interested in keeping the truck park open should write to Kenneth Whiteside, head of engineering services, Fenland District Council, Fenland Hall, County Road, March, Cambridgeshire PE15 8NQ.
