end last week, when the company handed its routes over to local operator Lincolnshire Road Car. Five town routes were started by the Norwichbased company just over twelve months ago. Intense competition followed, with Road Car and Elsey of Gosberton stepping up frequencies on its conventional town network. Road Car has taken over Eastern Counties' staff of nine but has not taken over either the vehicles or the use of the BRS premises from which they operated. Five Freight Rover Sherpas have been drafted in to take over town services, and a revision of Boston town routes is now expected.
