Lemarking that he recently saw two vans ■ nging to the Sunday Times group which id certainly have merited a GV9 each if stopped by a DoE inspector, he suggests that perhaps operators should form their own "dirty dozen" spotting team and keep a look-out for certain newspaper vehicles which appear to be below the standards required by the law.
Alternatively, he suggests, "we could make use of the 'dirty dozen' by operating a weekly lottery open to transport operators, who would be asked to forecast any four of the 12 vehicles to be listed!"
