• A new groupage service to SouthWestern France is announced by John W. Taylor (Ailsworth) Ltd. Operating out of Ailsworth, near Peterborough the weekly service will go to Mazamet only 80km from the industrial centre ol Toulouse. At Mazamet Taylors' agents Limouzy, provide a distribution networt throughout the area.
The service will use 12-metre TIP tilts leaving Peterborough every Sunda and returning from Mazamet on Thurs days. Traffic will be routed through th, Southampton-Le Havre ro-ro ferrie to avoid the congested area in the Strait of Dover.
