At a meeting of the Hull Watch Committee, Messrs. Stuart, Bell and Harvdy, representing the Heavy Vehicle Defence Association, attended in support of their suggestion that the annual inspection of omnibuses was unnecessary and caused a considerable amount of disorganization in the bus services. They pointed out that the corporation inspectors were in a position at any time to inspect and examine any bus. The committee postponed consideration of the matter. If there is a question of any vehicle being overlooked it would surely be preferable to arrange for the periodic examination of all vehicles.
