• Albert Deeble, a partner in Darley Ford Coaches of Upton Cross, near Liskeard was alleged to have put his name on a tachograph chart to cover up excessive hours driven by one of the firm's drivers returning from a job on the Continent.
Appearing before the South East Cornwall magistrates, Deeble pleaded guilty to making a false entry on a tachograph chart, failing to cause a driver to use a tachograph chart from the start of a journey, and failing to produce tacho charts. He was fined £1,700 with £50 costs.
