NO TRANSPORT BOARD FOR GLASGOW QPONSORSHIP of a Glasgow Passenh.--) ger Transport Board is not to be proposed by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, as suggested by the Junior Chamber. Sir Ian Bolton, chairman of the Glasgow Passenger Transport Committee, has told the Chamber that sound progress has been made with railway electrification and other improvements. The Chamber have also rejected a suggestion from the Road Haulage Association and other bodies that a Port Users' Association be formed. The view has been taken that the port is sufficiently covered by existing organizations.
