Saints places bumper order for used MANs
Saints Transport has placed an enormous order for used trucks after signing an agreement to purchase 60 Top Used MAN TGA tractor units.
With Saints latest acquisitions, its fleet of 200 trucks is now made up exclusively of MAN vehicles.
Piers Carroll, vice-chairman at Saints Transport, says: "We've never made a secret of the fact that were right behind the MAN brand."
He adds: "The TGA has always been a cracking truck, and, with the MAN TopUsed seal-of-approval, we know this latest fleet really is as good as new. We've also never made a secret of the fact that we don't like AdBlue — it's an unnecessary extra cost and a nuisance to administer."
Marlin Carroll, chairman of Saints Transport, adds: "We expect the trucks to be 5% better on fuel economy than the MANs they are replacing.
"They will be in operation for two to three years. We know MAN trucks inside-out, and we were confident buying TopUsed trucks."
