111 Suffolk-based Securicor Omega Logistics has bought Hertfordshire haulier Rosier Holdings. Chemical distributor Rosier, which was set up in 1985, runs more than 200 trucks and 300 trailers.

John Williams. chief executive of Securicor Omega Logistics, says the combined business will aim to create greater opportunities for shared-user distribution and its dedicated warehouse management service.

Securicor estimates that the purchase will help it achieve a combined turnover of £100m and move it into the top bracket of UK logistics companies. No Rosier drivers will lose their jobs, it adds.
