to the recovery of a Volvo FI.10 eight-legger stolen in Norwich on 30 March. It was driven out of RMC Mortars' Sandhill Quarry in Dereham Road, Costessey at about 03:1 5hrs. The 8x4 tipper, registration E325 PCV, is owned by Wenn, who also had Iwo six-wheelers and two skip-carriers parked up at the Norwich quarry.
The vehicle, which has a Wilcox alloy aggregate body, is in immaculate condition. It is painted maroon and white, with no company livery, has twin air horns and an Eminox stack. The chassis number is JC 882564 with engine number 196249. Contact (0379) 77660.
ro eight-wheeler rigids built to carry animal feed were stolen on 14 March from the Norfolk depot of J Bibby Agriculture. Unlike conventional tippers The Volvo F17 (reg H483 JAJ) and the Foden (J932 SPY)are both designed to discharge their loads pneumatically. Norfolk police are said to be surprised that the Volvo's load of poultry meal was not reported dumped near Bibby's Southery, Downham Market depot. The Foden was the only empty truck among 14 vehicles parked in the depot that night, says Bibby. Both have vertical exhausts, yellow and green cabs, and a hammerite grey body with the Bibby name down the side. The Foden has a Caterpillar 3306B engine and its chassis number is 404748. The Volvo, engine number TD71FSQ, has chassis number SCVF2CKG5LC89228.5.

During the night of 4-5 February thieves broke into Willis builders merchants in Braintree, Essex to steal a Mercedes-Benz 1617C fitted with a hydraulic lorry loader.The Merc (reg F176 WAH) was painted blue and carries the chassis number 61701825363511.
