ANEW hydraulic motor unit which incorporates a 5-to-1 planetary gear reduction gearbox is being manufactured by Adan Hydraulics Ltd.
The units are specially designed to be used with any of the range of Danfoss Orbit hydraulic motors and they will provide 8 s.h.p. at speeds ranging from 40 to 200 r.p.m. An extremely compact casing results from the design of the unit, measuring only 7in. in diameter.
The output shaft is 2.375in. in diameter and is supported on substantial needle roller and ball bearings, making it capable of withstanding considerable radial loads. This feature permits the direct mounting of sprockets, pinions, winch and conveyor drums, wheel hubs and the like.
