Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Dundee family firm of Allison's Transport A.(Contracts) Ltd. is likely to become a public company. Mr. James Allison, managing director, said last weekend that that was the intention. But the move to float the firm on the Scottish Stock Exchange would not be within the next two or three months.

The company operates trunk haulage services all over Britain and was founded just after the last war by Mr. James Allison senior and Mr. G. Taylor with a capital of less than £400. The fleet has grown from 10 vehicles ir 1951 to more than 200 now. It became a limited company in 1953.

Mr. Taylor left the business about three year: ago and Mr. Allison senior died last October.

Takeover: Teesdale Transport Ltd., a subsidiary of London and Northern Securities Ltd-, has acquired the whole of the issued share capital of Hetherington and Reswick Ltd., transport contractors of Co. Durham running fewer than 10 vehicles, mainly on shortdistance traffic.
