Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

See where blind faith in technology can lead you We've all heard stories about satellite navigation systems putting people on the wrong path. but this week we came across a new twist a busload of pensioners that wound up travelling down a narrow country lane and across three fields because the driver's sat-nay system identified this as the quickest route between Coleford and the A48 near Chepstow.

It gets worse. The senior citizens wound up stuck in a paddock for nearly four hours because their bus became wedged on a winding track in the middle of the Gloucestershire countryside.

As the driver was careering through the fields at the command of the sat-nay system, locals were frantically waving at her trying to tell her to stop. She preferred to put her trust in a computer and took no notice.

Finally a farmer arrived to rescue the red-faced driver and her elderly passengers. Once they had been towed to safety it was found that the easiest way to extricate the coach was to drive across three recently harvested fields.
